Welcome.

This is a quiet space for Scripture and reflection.

Scripture of the Day

“Be good to Your servant while I live,  that I may obey Your word.”

Psalm 119:17

In Psalm 119, the psalmist is very relatable and human. They know that they can not live this life and follow God’s ways on their strength, and they know their need and dependence on God. The more dependent we are on Him, the stronger we are. The psalmist writes in this verse asking the Lord to be good to them. We know that God is always good and that we do not have to ask Him to be good to us or strive to earn His goodness. But, how many times have we cried out the same thing? “God be good to me.”

It’s essential to remember that when we give our lives to Him, it is no longer our life to live, but His. We become His servant, and we obey His Word. Our life is not our own. We are here for so much more than working and paying a mortgage. God has us here to spread the good news and point people to Him. When we serve Him, and when we obey Him, we realize this life is not about us, it’s about Him, and we get to partner with Him to bring His Kingdom to earth and introduce those around us to Him.
